| Rolfo close to D\'Antin deal
Roby Rolfo has revealed on his personal website that his most probable destination for the 2005 season is Team D’Antin, riding a Ducati in the MotoGP World Championship.
Rolfo had a miserable time in the 250cc class this year, scoring just one podium finish with victory in the wet at Jerez, and ending the season eighth in the championship having pushed Manuel Poggiali to the final round for the title in 2003.
“We are very close to an agreeement, even though there are still a few variables to take into account,” said Rolfo. “For my part, I am as strong as always and I’ve already started a specific training programme.
“2004 was a difficult and stressful season for me and the best way to put it all behind me is to start thinking about next season. Cycling, supermoto, running… in short, the 2005 season has already started for me!”
