46mm socket??

About to remove the rear wheel and find it needs a 46mm socket, Halfords don't have one and all i can find on web is in 3/4 drive. Anyone got any suggestions as to where I can get a 46mm 1/2 drive socket from please??

TIA

Pop down to my house Mike.

Actually Mike, mine is an imperial size that equals 46mm. Could try Halfords for that, or try an engineering or tool specialist shop, or do they just different size hammers up there if they're ex miners from Durham

what ?? are you selling sockets now but not by mail order

at times living in the sticks brings its own problem, off to a tractor repair place at lunch time to see if they've got one.

Ordered a set of conti road attacks for the numpty Shaun, evidently the designger who worked at Pirelli and was responsible for Diablo moved to Conti about 9 months ago and thats why the new range is meant to be so good. Got a deal on a pair and it works out at same price as 1 Scorpion rear so thought I'd give it a go.

I paid £4 for my 46mm socket at Newark Autojumble.
Keep an eye on Ebay, they regulary pop up there.
BTW,I'm using Diablo's on my Numpty. They seem to work well,..I'm well chuffed with them.

Dont think they do a 1/2" drive for a 46mm socket, well this is what i was told when i was looking so i ended up taking out a second morgage for a Facom 3/4" drive socket + 24" bar, which your welcome to borrow, only its in my garage in Norwich :P

found a 46 3/4 drive and ordered it along with a 1/2 to 3/4 adaptor as i'll need to use a torque wrench to tighten it up. ordered from same place on an overnight, the socket arrived the adpator hasn't aagghh
