In the last couple of weeks I've given my bike quite a fettle. Prompted by having both wheels out to get some 207RR's fitted, I started by giving it a clean up on the bits you can't get to easily with the wheels in and got carried away...
I ended up changing brake pads round, doing bearings, greasing spindles...At the back end I pretty much stripped it out to clean it, touched up some worn paint on the swingarm, fitted a DP hugger, braided brakeline etc.
While I was doing that I corrected the rear ride height. The adjuster rod was already set with 10mm extra, but by dint of just one rose joint doing all the adjusting. Now, it's evenly spread between the two, but...
Since the new tyre is a 180, I knew it would slow the steering a tad, so I thought I would give the ride height another turn.
Apart from the back brake another thing I've got out of the habit of using is the centre stand, and I've only just used it since setting the ride height even higher. The back wheel used to just touch the floor with the bike on the centre stand. Now, the centre stand doesn't quite touch the floor and the bike rocks gently from side to side as if the stand is on tiptoes.
D'ya think I might have overdone it
