brake light

got amonster 800. just realised that the front brake is not making the brake light come on when i use it. back brake is fine. any ideas? is this a common problem?

One suggestion ... I had the same fault on my 999. Thanks to someone's suggestion here, I traced the wires from the switch at the brake lever to the bullet connectors, disconnected and re-connected them, and voila, it all started working again. Very simple, try that first before really starting to dig into the problem.

sorted witha new switch. picked it up from CMW along with a nice pair of leather trousers.

er ..... sort of. i was trying them on at about 5.25 ..... and only just managed to get out before they closed.
