On the subject of huggers

I have got a DP hugger, and somewhere in the last week or so, i have lost the "tunnel" piece through which the rear brake cable is routed - the result is that the cable has been rubbing againts the tyre, and both have worn ,somewhat.

Can i get a new one, or does anyone have a remidy ..... the current zip ties look a bit naff!!

It's not a cable you know, it's a hydraulic line and if it's significantly worn I'd replace or you risk not only a complete failure of the rear brake but brake fluid all over your back tyre. Not fun!

Sorry, wrong glossary. Yes, I know it is a hydraulic line.

The out plastic case has worn thru to the braiding, but the inner braided area is unmarked/ un worn ....

Replace, or leave?

When in doubt, replace...
