Good point mikecardiff, history of the engine for me is the most important, all the other bits you can find over time.
I should know my first year on a ducati, was not a happy one.

I don't want to be the bearer of bad news but I've got a 1998 748sps which I advertised recently at a similar price & got zero interest - hence decided to buy a 998s not r and keep it
It's in great condition, never dropped, FDSH, extras etc but has 20k miles so that might have been the hing that put people off mine??
Good luck but it's a tough market out there - just look on ebay!! & they're some good bikes on there no just the old crap!!
