Weight Saving

Fed up of lugging that heavy plastic tank around the track??

Enjoy a curry to much??

Love handles getting a bit on the large side??

Well fear no more, you too can enjoy a weight loss product for your DD bike

Haven't checked the rules, but from memory only OEM steel and plastic tanks are allowed!

So how is it that I remember someone with a small ali tank mounted under a faux tank cover.

also 2 hand fabricated ali tanks on sses racing at the moment. carbon tanks for monsters were listed in the dp catalogue with ducati part numbers. which is more than a hand fabricated one is.

"1.6.11 Fuel Tank

Fuel tanks must be either OEM Ducati OR made of steel or aluminium."

No problem wth an ali tank then, and as the carbon one is an official ducati part, I guess it is within the rules???

Chris

carbon fibre tank is part number 96910000b or 96922200b for ie monsters
the 2 different numbers are where the seat sites round the tank as it changed in 2002 onwards
taken from the 2004 dp catalog
i nearly brought 1 from jhp off the shelf in 2006 but didnt have the cash then
hope this helps
