oh BORROCKS!!

well, I just found out what happens if
a) you leave out the bottom fasteners on the fairing DOH
or
b) they work lose
or
c) combination of above

you find yourself doin 90 with one fairing each side of your legs acting like a sail!! Ripping off all the lugs, pieces of red ducati plasic trailing behind you!! and an EXPENSIVE bill!!

oh well, off to check my policy excess...or post a wanted add: needed full fairing 916sps !!!

edited to say Sorry Kev, couldnt get the bits picked up til 9 and didnt really feel like blasting at 130 up the A34 after 35m sat on a hardshoulder

Same thing happened to me the day I picked up my 748 and rode it back from Cornwal, the shop had been charging the battery and obviously hadn't fitted the bottom fixings properly.

Makes a good air brake though!

It happened to me once as well. At first I thought I'd hit an animal or something, as the right hand side shot up and slapped me in the knee. I ***** myself. The ride home was interesting to say the least. Glad to hear your alright though.

Happened to a friend on his 916 about 6 weeks ago, since then I now Gaffa tape the two fasteners down. As well as the wheel balancing weights, they are gaffa taped also.

Holy crap I thought when I got your phone message Paul, along with that sounds exspensive. Thankfully its onlt the panels that are damaged and not the rest of the bike or rider.
Nobody else turned up at Newbury so I went and checked out a couple of roads across the downs to visit my mate Adrian in Lambourne and watch the MotoGP at his place while tucking in to his Chocky biscuits and drinking his coffee.
