Robin,
There are basically four styles of Ohlins fork that were used on 851/888 Corsa's.

The 1990 bikes used this style with a hole in the side of the lower stanchion.
They are Ohlins #FG9050

The second type used on 1991 Corsa's was similiar to the first, but has no hole in the lower stanchion.

The third type was used on 1992 works bikes and 1992/93/94 customer corsa's. These can be identified by the black plastic mounts that support the front fender.

The Ducati part number for the 92/93 forks is different from the 1994 forks, so there may be some internal changes. But from the outside they all look the same.

The Ohlins number for the forks on a 1992 works bike is FG9031.

Robin,

My 93 Corse parts list shows the LH leg as 34020161B & the RH as 34020151B.These are the ones that Motobee has shown in his first pic.

Rgds, Rob

I'll take a pair if you've found a box.

The fourth type of Ohlins fork (FG9340) was only used on 1993/94 works bikes.

Rob the forks shown in the 1993 parts book would be the forks in the third picture. You can even make out the plastic clamps in the drawing, even though they are not available as a separate part.

Motobee is correct by my understanding. BTW, I have the Corsa parts fiche for the years 90-94 if you need it.

Motobee, I'll let you know the next time I am over your way. Used to live in Walnut Creek until about 5 years ago. Still work for a company in the Bay Area. Maybe we can meet for a pint at the Pyramid Brewery sometime.

thanks for the great help motobee and everyone else on this one.
Bike is confirmed as a 90 corsa, but 91 spec. Which make the forks in pic two corect, they also have mag steering head etc.
JH also confirmed similar info .
which means it should look like this, http://www.ducatisportingclub.com/xm...9&pid=230 828

still awaiting pics from the guy to see what sort of mess it is in though.
I need to get a good overall costing of items like forks overhaul, engine and sundry parts, carbon body work, which this bike should have.
Need as much spares and costings as possible before I decide if it is worth going ahead and making the purchase.

A bit to do yet me thinks, where is the best place to get costings on ohlins forks and shock work.

cheers
robin
