998 Wheel Compatibility

Hi All,

New guy here, just bought a 2002 998 from a mate. My previous bike was an Aprilia RSV Mille and I must say they are very different bikes.

Sometime in the 998's early life the PO had the wheels what I beleive is nickel plated. That look isn't really for me as it's a bit "blingy".

Anyone know what other wheels are compatible with the 998, the black S4R style wheels look great and something like that would be ideal. Do the 848 10 spokes fit?

Yep S4R wheels will fit as will the wheels from a S2R, not tried the 848 wheels but I suspect the rear fits but the front uses discs with a different amount of mounting holes and I think a different offset and as they run the speedo off a pickup off the rear wheel the front probably has no provision for a speedo drive

Bumping...

I have a M1100 rear wheel which fits nicely and have found an M1100 front, does anyone know if the fronts are compatible?

I'm not too fussed about weight etc, just want to lose the bling.

The 1100 Monster wheel will fit, the discs are on the same spacing but you would need the M1100 Discs as they are a 5-bolt fixing, you may also need to sort spacers to centre the wheel up.
The M1100 has no provision for a mechanical speedo drive, so something else to sort

Post a pic of em up if you fancy a swap with a set of marcesini black five spokes.
