Cleaning Brembo Goldlines
My ST is now getting a bit long in the tooth. Although I have managed to keep most if it pretty tidy, it is let down by the dull paintwork on the callipers.

Can anyone recommend something suitable to clean them up and restore the finish? I don't want to experiment and risk stripping the paint off by using something too vicious!

Thanking you in anticipation,

If the paint can stand up to a scrubbing brush perhaps I have been a bit over-cautious in the past! I'll give it a try.

Hi Phil,

Whatever coating is used on the caliper is very robust. One solution previously aired here was a soaking them in a bucket of water with a dishwater tablet!

I was dubious but gave it try with good and very little effort results - needs the calipers removing sadly...

But, I do have some spare 4-pad calipers somewhere if you fancy upgrading
