Water Pipes

Just a cautionary tale about water pipes. I have just bought some Sameco Silicon Race hoses for my 749R. On taking the battery box ( you know by your left knee ) off to expose the four hoses from the thermostat housing I was horrified to find the front two going to the radiator were not fitted properly. The factory hoses were only just pushed on with more than an inch left to push fully home, and the clips were only on the lip of the housing. In fact the bottom clip was the wrong side of the housing. It was only going to be a matter of time before they would slip off. I recommend you have a look.....I know its a pain to get at, but you never know what you might find........

Scary, could have turned into a right mess.

Out of interest, where did you get the hose kit from and how much did it set you back?

khu996 got them from Dave at JHP about £160. Sounds a lot I know but the fit is perfect. Where with the factory pipes you get that nylon thead laced into the rubber, with the Samaco ones there is four separate layers molded in!
They were a joy to fit and a cheap insurance to boot!

Might have to give Dave a call then, they'll do the job nicely and look cool as well!
