Hi Neil
SP2/3/4/SPS use P7 ECU. In my understanding, P8 was only used on the later T8s (including SP5). Sorry, can't help with the ID/numbers.

Yep, my 1994 Strada came with a P8, now long gone to Denmark.

You can sometimes get P8s from Cosworths, Lancias etc off eBay.
I have no idea if they work with 888 chips.
Does someone know?

The P8's are coded as IAW 435 whilst the P7 is labelled IAW 043. My (early) 888 has a P7. A P8 off a car should be fine as long as you fit a correct EPROM.

: sensational!!
the P8 has an external trimmer, i don't think the P7 has that, just an easy way to i.d one without the weber i.d sticker on it.
