HW - Yep that's the bad boy, although it was the rear on mine, so not exactly exposed to the elements.

I think, and looking at the Bostrom at the weekend the coils are mounted to the frame one on either side??? I could be wrong but I traced the q/shifter loom to there anyways...

dave - press DUcati UK for at least the cost of the part, it does not have to be on recall, as very few coils wil be as they are not safety related but may be on a service action. I am sure you saw the VW stuff over the last couple of years....

Dont let em off the hook - write a letter to MCN if you have to, state the facts and avoid damaging statements, or at least threaten too
