My mate in the states is currently bidding on a crash damaged 999S with clean title currently just over £4.5K, what would a undamged one cost over here and are they worth the money
I've done a couple of 749S and would do it again but by the time youve done it you could buy a straight one with less hasle, wouldnt be on any list. he might be better pricing things now then he can work hes budget.
No Q plate, it has a clean title which means its unrecorded and not a write off. I should think it could be sorted for road use for less than a grand, making it a £5.5K 999S I wouldn't say No to a 999S for that price if I could find one
well still some days on it but would be worth watching to see what it ends at. they never really come up on this side of the water cos insurance companies try to get them break only which means cant go back on the road. what is the best way is to buy from say isle of man or another country and then it wont show up here any way if it is on the list.
I have offered my mate the full 749S red body kit including tank and mirrors that I have for what I think is a reasonable price. may influence his bidding, cant see as having 749S on the side of the fairing would do much harm, he could always sort the right parts at a later date. Not sure if he has sold his 955SP3 yet as that may also influence his bidding.
I've got a few odds and sods lying around if he does decide to go down that road. I always found the bigger bits are easy to get its the little things that seem to cost the money. any way good luck to him.
Cheers Shaun at those prices providing it's no worse than my mate says it is then getting it back on the road for a all in price of £5.5K is quite a nice saving. I know I could live with the odd light blemish for a saving of around £2k. What do you mean I could live with more than a light blemish, leave my 916 out of this
