25th July Cadwell

I havn't had time yet to subscribe to the Cadwell track day, just a few questions, as it starts early in the morning. And Ive never been on a DSC track day!

is there a campsite or cheap hotel near by?
Are there lockers to plant our gear whilst we enjoy the track?
What about insurance?

I feel a little apprehensive and would like to know what others with more experience of these days have found?

i beleive camping may be allowed, its being sorted at the moment. b and bs nearby if you want to do that keddington house is popular

no but there will be plenty of people there with cars/vans so you could dump your stuff in one of theurs no problem

What about insurance?

you can get it but it is very expensive. if the worst does happen there arer ways to sort it.

there are inherent risks with any sort of motorsport but imho tracks are FAR safer than the roads and a DSC trackday is THE berst place for a novice to have their first outing.

There's an excellent B+B (run by friends of ours) called The Old Schoolhouse at Donington on Bain which is approx 5 miles from the circuit, tel Jackie on 01507 343845. Pub in the village aswell!

Pete. I'm only a few miles from you. Tamworth. I will be going up the night before and sleep in the van. You can always ride up to my place and I can take you & the bike in the van. Its just a question the finding somewhere to sleep. If you have a tent fine, if not don't worry, there bound to e someone with room for one more.
