termi outlets

at last, i've got a termi arriving at the end of the week
can anyone give me a rough size of the outlets so i can make somthing at work to shove up the end whilst it's warming up, this way the neighbours wont burn me at the stake.

cheers

Lightbulb Bright idea No697.5

What you need is a supply of meteorologist's high altitude balloons. They expand to several metres across so if you slip one of those on the end of each pipe it'll see you alright until you're several miles from home. Mind you, it might give you a bit of a shock when it goes pop

I use old paint rollers in mine, cut them in half and shove them in.
Nice tight fit in 50mm Termi`s ( 748R )
I think you have a 749/999.

748R - Less is more !

high altitude balloons are a good idea but i fear when they go pop and people find this shiny strange material dotted about it'd turn my sleepy village into roswell mk11.

paint rollers...i like your thinking but they wouldn't fit (749).

i saw the caps from Ducati Kanma in a post on here which gave me the idea to have a crack at making something similar (but not as good looking).
i dont want to buy them because i just want to keep it quiet whilst it's warming up and thats it.

How about pushing the bike down the road a little before starting?
I have to say tho,Termi's on a 749/999 are not that loud.Your neibours must be pretty sensitive if they find them offensive.
Well that is,if you're warm up proceedure is revving the bike up over 6k!

I do not have a problem with mine warming up either and the lady next door to me will usually complain about anything so I would not worry about it.
Just do not rev up to 5K when they do get louder

you're right.... came today, fitted it, went to fuel up at the garage round the corner and there was a mobile police community caravan thing. they were looking but didn't say anything so i'll take that as a good sign and wait for the neighbours to complain. to be honest it's no louder than my mates rsv.

sounds great, dead chuffed....
