Heres one for you then....

I own a '98 900ssie, never had a problem with her up til yesterday, started her up y'day afternoon and she sounded like she was only running on 1 cylinder, popping and banging like a firework, so limped upto to the bike shop, and after a stall and a lock up got her there, stripped her down changed plugs, checked leads, rectifier, coils, all fine but still wouldn't run properly.

So booked her in a place today, (ex-ducati spanner) wheeled it off the ramp started her....... guess what............ sweet as a nut??

Proper Strange??

Any guesses anyone??

Had a similar prob found out it was the carbs giving me hassle.water in tank etc may not be quite so bad as what i had but worth a check.
still running a bit like s**t last week before donington.
popped in to a bike garage and bought this carb cleaner and what a difference that made brilliant.

Been out today and had it checked, but no problem today??? they reckon it may have been a dodgy bit of fuel, or a blocked fuel line?? So filled with optimax and give her some fuel treatment to clean the system...... Touch wood still fine.....

Dont you just love the temperamental little bleeders.
