748SP Odd 'idling' Problem

Odd question to see if anyone else has had the same issue and if so is there a simple cure.......

At idling, i.e. traffic lights, my 748 will sit happily at idle for about 10 secs, however, the throttle seems to click back (even with my hand on it you can actually feel it physically), and the revs drop, more often than not stalling the bike! So I have to sit there keeping the gas on a little bit.

Any thoughts!?!?!?

A sticking butterfly valve in the throttle body would be my guess. Carburetor cleaner on the shaft would solve it.

Pull the fuel tank and look down the intakes to see if both valves fully return to their stops at idle.

Alternatively, the throttle cable at the hand grip may need lubrication.
