Braided brake lines - standard or not?
Hi all,

Having bought the Hyper late last year, I'm in the process of taking spanner to bike, and while servicing the brakes (Jesus they were in a very sorry (read dangerous) state) I got to thinking about lines.

I'm convinced that the standard lines are still fitted - thin black, fairly stiff - but my question is, are they braided as standard like on my old 749r?

Yes, Ducati have been supplying braided brake lines as standard since before the 999 model.

They are not stainless however!

Thanks, that'll be a few £££ saved then.

The pads were shocking, fronts were almost at the backing plate (less than 1mm) and the rears fell apart once I cracked off the mounting bolts. As for the black treacle, I mean fluid....

My Hyper has just ticked over 40,000 miles and is still on the original front and rear pads...
