I presume you mean the ECU. Firstly you need to let us all know what the problems are that you are experiencing ??
are you talking about the EPROM ?
Without that knowledge I can only presume....
You may have fuelling issues? The bike wont fire up? what type of Chip is it? who made it ?
If its ultipro, it can be sent to sigma performance for checking, if its a ducati one, it needs to be in the bike unit and then connected to the ducati mathesis unit for diagnosis.

give a us a few clues first eh ??

Yes is the std 998 Icu ( injection control unit )actually its the 996R icu for the open 45 termis . might have been better saying that at start !!!!

The bike wont fire up and the dealer says the Ducati workshop matheis thingy wont SEE the icu , hes going to try the std icu asap to see what happens

Is that any clearer

To stop the confusion it is the ECU (electronic control init) which controls the injection not an ICU(?)

Its the twinplug bit that sits next to the battery on the 998 , it controls the electronics and the spark/injection system

The dealer now says its doing everything it should bar a spark output , so the fuel pump primes ok but no spark ,and no bike
