Sponsorship Does Work

There's been a couple of threads on here over the last day or two about people offering or looking for sponsorship. I just wanted to say that even at the club racing level, sponsorship does generate business.

At Snetterton I was talking the Doug C about the sponsorship on his DD bike, as it was such a well turned out machine.

For those that don't know, DSC member Rally sponsors Doug, in the name of his business The Station (http://the-station.com/). This is a video post-production facility located in Soho, London.

I work for an archival footage department within a major UK broadcasting and publishing organisation.

To cut a long story short, I've sent some of our business Rally's way.

I hope he doesn't mind me posting this here, but just thought it might be useful for anyone wondering about whether DD bike sponsorship is worth it, especially for non-motorcycle related businesses. In short, it is!

Well said sir. I greatly appreciate the opportunity given to me by Rally. Couldn't have gone racing any other way.

There's still plenty of space on those fairings for more names so don't be shy!!

If my name could bring extra visitors to the KapitalMoto website, that would be great

It does Tonio. I've already told you that the KM website gets referrals from Planete Ducati and Tonio82! :-)

I must admit, no one is more surprised by getting some work out of having the company name on the side of the bike than me!

I should point out that, like most sponsorship at club level I suspect, it isn't really a commercial decision. It's my bike, my mate riding it and a pleasure to see it go round. Actually getting work out of it is a real bonus! If any of you DDers want sponsorship, you're going to have to excersise those networking skills and find someone with an interest in bikes.

Thanks for the job Phill. It made my partners stop rolling their eyes every time I mention bikes... for a while at least
