I Need To Rent Your Bike For Snett!!

Ok, It's happened..I'm addicted to DD.

I enjoyed myself so much at Donny, that I'd like to do it all over again at Snett.

I can't use the bike that Fil2 so kindly rented me, as he'll be riding it at Snett, so does anyone else have a competitive 620 they'd like to rent out for the weekend to me?

My problem is, that the entry date closes on the 19th, so I need to get sorted asap.

Anyone kind enough to help out will be very well looked after.

PM me, email me on tim.pritchard@ntlworld.com or ring me on 01522 823643 or 07939 612977

Cheers,

Tim

Buy glenns race winning 620 m8 and then come join us on a permanent basis..rather than tyre kick LOL

£2750 for glens bike is a steal and as its your sponsors money who cares LOL

Heeheeee!

Yeah, It does seem a bit like that , doesn't it!

I can't commit to anything at the minute, because we don't know if the endurance will continue next year, and at the minute that's my priority, as I love it so much. If we get an announcement that it isn't going ahead, then I'm definitely going to do the full DD series next year instead. In fact, even if It does go ahead, I'd like to try and get a bike and do as many rounds as humanly possible.

At the minute though, I can't spend my sponsors money...so I'll have to tyre kick for the time being.

How's yer thumb and stuff by the way?

Dickieducati is taking some time off and won't be at Snetterton. Otei, why don't you send him a PM and ask him if you can rent his?

I reckon he'll be cool with it, and it's a good bike - do you ride race shift?

That'd be useful, I think I will.

I ride a road shift, but I'm sure that can be altered?

You might need to find another lever or something. Dickie runs the shift lever straight off the gearbox spline with no linkages - it's not a road shift one turned around (which tends to break them, IME). But as you say, I'm sure that will be the least of your problems once you've got a bike sorted!

Oh right, I stand corrected. Grahame turned the linkage around on the DD bike he built for me, but on mine last year and the rearsets I had on the 998R were just the lever straight off the spline.

After having my linkage break in the race at Assen and having seen similar issues I'm only going to run the shift lever off the spline in future, no linkages.

I've never been able to get my head around race shift.....

I'd blow it up if I rode it like that. Not good.
