New Picture

Just found this which is just like the bike I am building

With different colours though

Tank is off to powdercoaters and the ally bits are in for cleaning and blasting, I may then get them anodised

Looking forward to getting started on the build

Buying clocks, headlight, indicators and tail light are next on the agenda

Going to start fibreglassing a tail unit as I cant find anyone who makes them

Update 21 Dec 2011

Just updated the seat unit thread

The tank ended up with dust under the powdercoating so they had another go but the same thing happened again

After Christmas its going back to be stripped again and re-done

They are a good bunch of guys and these things happen

Anyone wanting the contact details let me know

They are near Bradford in West Yorkshire

The brightwork has been blasted and looks a treat

This gives an idea of what it will look like

DuCafe update

Now making the first attempt to rebuild the bike

Started by putting engine on blocks and getting frame on

Once secured I have strapped it up to the scaffold pole that is fitted to the walls in my office

Then its a case of adding bits

And more bits

Found that one of the fork legs is longer than the other so a strip and rebuild is on the cards

There is a guy on ebay selling skf front wheel bearings for £6 posted

The steering head bearings cost £31 each from Ducati

Learnt my lesson there

The tank is back at the powdercoaters to be stripped and re-coated

Whilst it has the coat stripped off I will be getting a few areas leaded as its not quite perfect

One thing I have learnt is that even when things are bagged and labelled
things still don't fit
