The venue for the very first DSC trackday is under threat.

Done a good few laps round Mallory mainly on two wheels but also raced round on four once.

Great little circuit much like a tardis.

Ray.

While the road circuit has always been down in a sort of hollow, making it very hard for the sound to travel across to the village (Noise tests taken during race meetings by the ACU show this is the case) the building of the Motocross track in recent years outside of this natural hollow probably hasn't helped.
Also the circuit has a small industrial estate supporting several businesses and if the circuit closes there this could well effect the livelihoods of those working in these businesses.

certain Major events either nolonger take place at Mallory or have been scaled down such as the Post TT classic and BSB, which in itself must have brought about a reduction in noise

Mallory is also the final round of Desmo Due in 2013 come October so lets hope there are no rash decisions made
