Kind of changed my mind a bit on this one. I did the belts on my ST2 using the allen key method and it was never a worry. Nelly did the belts on the ST4. I'm just kinda wondering now how i would have felt at 10,500 rpm on the start/finish straight at Snetterton if one had let go? At least if you get a dealer to fit them then you can go and kick his arse if something goes wrong! (not that i ever would almost a year after they were done!)

Rear one tighter? Doesn't the rear cylinder get hotter though so you should be running the belt looser to allow for increased expansion? 5mm front 6mm rear type difference? This is the 2 valve of course.

Well - have decided to take the sensible appraoch and book it in with a dealer - like some have said, its only a small saving to do it yourself, and the risk is a worrying factor.

Ducati Aylesbury are doing the job.
How does £130 sound? (including them collecting the bike and dropping it back - 30miles away)

Don`t want to give anyone the wrong info and I`m sure nelly will correct me if I`m wrong,but aren`t Ducati dealers now using the math` tester to check belt tension on the newer models in the range?
