When did the September issue of PB come out - is is recent, or was it at the beginning of July in which case I've probably missed it? Neither Martins nor WH Smith have it round here (yet).

Thanks

Andrew

It's the current issue. Should have been in the shops for a week or so now.

PB is great again these days I reckon. It used to be the reference bible then lost it's way and became a silly boys w**k mag for a while.
Anyway I wrote to them last month and got *Star Letter*
I've won a radio controlled bike! Yay!

You're right there - I used to subscribe 10 years ago or more, then it went all 'max-power' and so I stopped buying it. A few months ago, I wrote to Bike magazine, about their article on an 851 SP2 over a year ago, which inspired me to buy an SP2. They made it letter of the month and I won some very nice Michelin Pilot Power CT2 tyres.

They also forwarded my letter to Gary Inman, the author of the article who now works for Performance Bikes, and he sent me an email, thanking me for the letter, and suggesting I had a look at PB again. I told him I didn't want a bike mag full of T&A, but he said that it had changed and should appeal to the enthusiast. I tried it and he's dead right - it's got such great articles, project bikes, etc written by people with a passion , just like us. And they do seem to have a genuine love of Ducatis !

I would recommend it to anyone.

Well done on your prize Fred !

Hey Paul, the july issue is in news agents now, so wait 4 weeks and you can have your own PB if you want.
