Smile high comp pistons

I had Pistals fitted on my 996R when I had engine Blueprinted at JHP earlier this year and Fuxxing hell 160BHP at the crank. Do it, you know you want to.

One of those, while its apart dilemas!!!!

The pistals are very close to a drop in piston (weight) so you should have to get the bottom end balanced to suit (check though)

The pistal pistons will make a difference AND when they are fitted the engine builder will (should) set the squish and dial in the cams. These things alone make a difference.

If you want to get serious you can run the 999R-04 up to a 14:1 compression ratio if you want a really sharp motor but you'll have to use higher octane fuel.

Race or Road ???

BTW :No temprature issues with the standard radiator/oil cooler.

As a guide, 999R 04, 57mm full system, Hi comp pistons, heads flowed, set up correctly (squish, cams, ignition and fuel maps, the expensive bit!) typical 155 bhp REAR WHEEL. (make up whatever figure you want for crank power, if it makes you happy to have a big number on the print out, you can't measure it!!!)

748RS race bike (well, 853 but who\'s counting!)
