I know this has already been asked a few times, I was out in the rain today on my 748s ( shock horror a Ducati out in the rain) with the standard pirelli tyres (dragon evo corsas I think)

Felt really slidey, anyone got good pressures for the road in Psi? please.

There's a number of things that affect tire performance in the rain. Most important is the need for water to escape to prevent hydroplaning, so tread pattern is important. Second, is the danger of slippery road surfaces until enough of the oil film and antifreeze buildup is washed away. Third, is the surface water's cooling effect on keeping tire temperatures from reaching their optimum stickiness. Trying to increase tire temperatures by dropping pressure for rain use isn't likely to have much success at street speeds. Be careful out there ...

I used to have Dragon Evos on my 748. Absolutely stunning in warm dry weather but I don't think changing the pressures is gonna help too much in cold wet weather. Mine were like banana skins in the autumn months. Took 'em off and replaced them with 010's and things got a whole lot more sure footed. Never got round to refitting the old tyres and ended up binning them when I moved house.

I had a hornet before that had the same size rear but the more common 120/70/17
instead of the 748s 120/60/17.

I used to run 42 rear and 36 front.

I'll see what mine are tommorow, the tyres feel soft but are perhaps not good in the wet. They are new and came with the bike so don't want to fork unecessarily.
