Just returned for Singapore where unfortunately I had to rush out because my Mum fell ill there on Her way to New Zealand. Anyway She is back home and resting now.
On the last couple of days whilst waiting for Her medivac to happen I managed to get out to the Ducati Singapore branch.
The CEO came down to speak to me and offer a coffee but after a while when She discovered I was not an expat wanting to buy a bike She lost intrest pretty quickly.. Hmmm Sales people they are lovely when your buying.
The general Manager there was great and we swapped loads of info. A basic 1098 there is £20k on the road. WOW That wiil be whay I only saw one old moster, a white 848 and 1 1098R whilst I was there. All with shorts and T-Shirts on.
Most of the bikes there have to have a conjeston charge device fitted to them. All cars have them, mainly on the dash board. But it looks horrible on the bikes. The 1098 can just about fit this in the tail section compartment.
I also managed to speak to a local rider who was in there after some parts. He had a Multi and was describing the best riding conditions in Singapore were when it was damp as it was cooler. Their normal route was out of Singapore and head north up into Malaysia. But it can be a bit dodgey and you have to be carefull where you stop.
Here is a couple of other Bikes that caught my eye whilst wandering around.
