Such a waste of a rising young talent. Best wishes to his family at this horrible time.

Also my thoughts go to his team, Colin Edwards and Valentino Rossi.

Mark.

watched it live, gutted. He was a Character among bland(albeit Gifted) riders. He will be sorely missed.

When I watched his helmet come off I thought "this isn't good".

On a slight tangent,I also thought if His helmet ever fit him with all that hair or did he have an over size one??

A sad loss, my thoughts go out to his family and friends and to all those involved with the incident especially those that tried to revive him.

Questions are being asked about the state of the helmet strap, did it break, was it tight enough or was it left undone. I'm sure the answer will come out in due time

R.I.P. Marco

Lisa & I were out on the bike today making the most of the sunshine. We'd recorded the race and sat down yesterday evening to watch.

Lisa & I are sick to the pit of our stomachs. I've never seen such a terrible incident where someone's helmet comes off like that!

Marco was one of MotoGP's future greats, we'll miss watching him. May he rest in peace.

Our thoughts are with those closest to him, and with Colin and Valentino.

Very sad....
