Exhaust problem 748

Can anyone help!!
Just had her seviced, I've got silencers in, but fella has told me to take them out as I'm strangling the bike.

Now, thats all well and good. But last time I rode with out them I had a headache for days!

He told me to 'pack them' with some kind of stuff. Does anyone know:

1) What the 'stuff' is?
2) How do you do it?

Your advice is very welcome

Here you go,all on here.Possibly wrap a little wire wool around the internal baffle then pack as much of this 'wool' over as you can to get it back in the sleeve.

If you dp not fancy doing it your self, give this guy a ring, he makes exhaust systems & does a lot of the systems for A16. He will repack them etc for a very low cost,

Teddy - if you want a compromise, ive got a set of brand new 50mm termignoni 'approved' silencers. These are half way in terms of noise between standard silencers and full on race - but have all the legal stampings on them to keep you legal.

I understand that the 50mm silencers can be fitted to the 748 by sleeving them outside, rather than the inside of the balance pipe - perhaps someone could confirm this ?

They are £745 from a dealer - looking for £349.

Cheers
Nat

Cheers for that Dave/Chris

Thanks for the offer Natty, but the service pulled my pants down. I wear the velcro pants now, easy to remove!!
