tyre changing

has any one or does any body know if it is possible to fit modern bike tyres by hand.
the farther in law was taking the pi$$ as i paid £25 notes to have two tyres done
any one tried it?

you could possibly do it,
but not if you respect your rims.
were not talking flexy triumph T120 spoke jobbies with no paint on them

Yes it can be done,but by 'eck,what a load of hassle.Idealy you need a bead breaker to get the old tyre off.A compressor would be good too,then there is the balancing,...........aah fuggit,take them down to the tyre fitters.£25 does'nt sound too bad.
