I'm planning to get a single seat for my 888 strada.
I have it on authority from Steve at moto rapido that the only thing you have to cut on the subframe is the horizontal bar that sits above the locking mechanism as it gets in the way and then would have to weld another peice across lower down, not a big or epxensive job!

Its on my list of things to do this spring!

I dont think there's such thing as a reasonably priced SP4/5 !
If I did see one i'd keep my trap shut and buy it myself!
Preferably an SP5 and then I'd fit Ohlins forks.
However, if I saw an SPS, well......

Hey! you guys. I have the SP5 single seat unit on my strada, as pictured. No major works, just fitted a couple of brackets to support the fixing points under the seat back cushion section. I'll draw a diagram and post it hopefully this weekend to explain.

I've just been on the phone to QB carbon - they won't be going to Ally Pally Superbike show this year, but will still do a deal if we want to order a number of seat units.
As with most things, the price depends on the quantity......
As I recall their normal price was £150 for fibreglass and £250 for carbon.
If anyone is interested in joining forces then drop me a mail (not U2U as I can't seem to access it?).

Cheers
Paul

Anyone priced up an OE item (assuming there still available)??

I will send some pics down of my seat unit singular mode to speed up the send. If anybody needs help individually with more detail or require the brackets, send me a u2u. Good luck with the change, it certainly makes the bike totally racey looking.
Pic 1 - Angle brackets fitting, with old lock removed.
