25th International Ducati Club Races

7, 8 and 9th May 2004, TT Circuit, Assen, The Netherlands

The Dutch Ducati Club are celebrating their 25th anniversary this year. This will take place at the TT- Circuit of Assen. This unique event has grown over the years into an important international ‘four-stroke’ happening with Pan-European style attracting almost 600 riders and over 5000 visitors.

A race-programme for all makes
The programme is again this year full of different categories such as the ever popular international race of the heavy 4-stroke machines. In the Sound of Thunder category the battle for points will take place with fast one-, two- and three-cylinder bikes from our own and foreign competitors. Participants are from The Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, England, Scandinavia, France and of course Italy. Some bikes and accessories you won’t find anywhere else. The Supermono and Classics categories are also represented. The link with Ducati remains as always very strong. Battles are taking place in the magnificently sounding categories such as the Desmo-Due (two-valve), the Desmo-Quattro (four-valve) and the Desmo-Twins (a combination category). Besides these there are also the Ducati-Classics and one separate one-cylinder category represented by beautifully restored bikes. In order to be able to offer races with other European makes several clubs have united to form the SAM (‘Stichting Aanvullende Motorsport’). The SAM categories ‘upto 700cc’ and ‘above 700cc’ have therefore been created.

Everybody is welcome in the paddock
The Ducati Club Races are not only visited for the races but also for the excellent atmosphere in the paddock. You’ll be able to meet racing teams, individual participants to the races and stands with a range of spare parts and other accessories. On Friday, the track-sessions will take place (only for legal street motorbikes). On Saturday, the timed training sessions will be held. In the evening there will be life music at the paddock-restaurant. On Sunday the races will take place in more than 10 categories. For those who do not want to miss out, camping is possible in the paddock near the famous old ‘Veenslang’. Children are welcome too, there are a range of activities available to them. The admittance fee for children up to the age of 12 is free. The fee for all other visitors will be 10 Euro on the Saturday and on Sunday, the day of the races, this will be 15 Euro.
