I think we need a list of those who MAY be eligible, for me to check with Kev.

My brain can't work out quite what you mean this early after so much time off work.

What are the rules now? I cunningly managed to get rid of my Orange vest and upgrade to a National licence all in one season... Be careful how you use your results

Well I am definitely a novice but might be a professional moto crosser if the season continues at Anglesey as it started at Brands for me

I do think that you should be allowed to enter a novice championship if you have raced in DD for one round maximum before the start of the eligible season.

There seem to be a few novices that get out and have a go for one or two races then start the season. Ther are allsorts of possibilities.

Just reading up on the vest shedding as I am quite close.

Phil the Drill (can never spell his surname!!)

what I mean is...there are 8 rounds, so if you do them all you should only get 8 signatures which means you would have a vest at the end of the year...unless you race over two days; not sure how the rules apply now to this, used to be a race event rather than each race day

or...

anyone with a novice vest who has not competed in DD for more than one round as suggested above - simple

There were only 7 last year and I managed to loose my vest AND upgrade to National Licence. So unless the rules have significantly changed it is possible for a complete Novice to do that this year (The rule used to be 10 Separate days (not events), on 3 different tracks, finishing in the top 50% with at least (6 or 10?) finishers).... and that is for the National licence upgrade, so I would expect just loosing the Orange vest to be less than that?

used to be 3 race events, and a Sat/Sun race would be classed as 1. I think this was chnaged last year tho, as I used 3 from 2008, plus 7 days from last year and got rid of vest at Cadwell on the Sat.

saying that, mine is a clubman as I havent finished that much in top 50%
