The police said that as long as no one died ( they didnt!) Then it was just an accident and we may never know the true cause!! I couldnt see anything on the road at all. I think it was the front that folded but i dont think he was braking at the time. There was a 1.5m skid then impact marks followed by an oil slick. I will be getting whats left of the bikes back on Wednesday so will try to see if something failed on his bike! He was the only one with fully comp cover!! The rest of us are TPFT and may well be fooked
Don’t say its all over just yet, sounds like a real nightmare at the moment but your all still hear. Bones and bikes mend and so dose the mind. Sometimes in your biking career days don’t go strictly to plan and some days go so wrong you can spend a long time coming to terms with what has happened.
Get well soon all of you just glad to hear it wasn’t any worse

I know what your saying mate! Its been a really harsh year for me. Its a year ago (next week) that i was taken out by a car and broke my thigh! Its just getting a bit much right now
A few years back now there was a similar accident on the A5 in North Wales when a foreign car bounced off the curb and into the first in a line of oncoming bikes. Very similar situation with all trying to take avoiding actions. Unfortunately their outcome was not so good
So sorry to read this Chris. I hope you and your friends recover fully. It does highlight the dangers of group riding, though. And a bad accident last year too. I can see why you're feeling enough's enough.
, speedy recovery to all, must admit i know those roads quite well & the speeds qouted should not have caused a problem. But it does bring to light the fact about better spaceing when group riding, again speedy recovery toall involved.
