Knockhill Trackday 18th May

Knockhill Track Evening 18th May 6-8pm

As part of our commitment to our customers we organise trackdays.

We do this so we can offer specialist knowledge about the bikes, pass on our experience with them and try to offer any assistance possible.

On every trackday we have staff members on hand to take you round and show you the lines and braking points. We work with you at your own level and concentrate on parts of your riding that you want to work on. We also have our resident suspension technician on hand to offer any tips or track side adjustments that you might try. ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE £60 PRICE OF EACH TICKET

The track is somewhere you can forget about all of the usual concerns about road riding ie:- pot-holes, cars, buses, hedgehogs, brick walls etc, etc, etc. The emphasis is on FUN and SAFETY.

Just because the speeds are generally higher, doesn't mean the danger is! The best way to approach a trackday is viewing the circuit as a safe stretch of road that you can learn easily.

Every rider on track will be riding their pride and joy so it is a very courteous environment, there is no fairing bashing!

Call us for more details or just to book yourself on.

How a trackday works!

The set-up is simple. All 40 riders on the track together whether novice or fast for a 2 hours "open" session.
For those not familiar with the terminology:- normally trackdays take the form of riders split into groups according to skill level. Each group then gets usually 10 - 15 mins on the track then breaks while the other groups get their turn.
On an open session track evening such as ours, the pit lane is open so riders can come in and out as much as they please. Maximising track time as much as possible.

The secret to these evenings is all about the briefing the riders receive before hitting the tarmac.
The safety briefing from the Knockhill staff is fully comprehensive. Track misbehaviour is simply not tolerated by them or us. The effect is that all skill and speed levels can intermingle on the track easily and without incident. The positive effect being the slower guys learn from the faster guys!

Over-taking is done only in straight lines, either on the brakes or on the straights. We always recommend leaving the corner overtaking manouevres to the racers and the Pro's.

Safety taken care, it's easy to relax and enjoy the pure enjoyment of riding your motorcycle

If you've not tried one, give it a go, you'll be pleasantly surprised at how organised our events are and just how much fun you will have.
