what class to race a 1000ds?
bit bored waiting for a builder to knock a wall down....

thinking about the numpty in the garage, and what a great motor that would be in my monster or similar race bike. I know Monty and a few others have used the engine as a base for a good track bike

so what class could a numpty-engined monster race in? Too big for minitwins, too small for SoT, need clip ons so streetfighter probably not suitable...

could use the forks and motor and break the rest, guess would have to find someway of fitting cans or have bespoke system made, or use the chassis as the base and change wheels for std Ducati ones...sounds like a pub conversation this one

Forks probably a bit long
probably better off with a SS or Monster Chassis
Use the Motor and ECU etc
If going with a later Monster chassis you could probably use the swingarm etc

Thunder bikes with its power to weight ratio may be a option

thx Chaz, I see that's where Mark races. Guess the standard is pretty high if its MRO organised. Not sure how a numpty-powered monster would compare to a 749 round most tracks, regardless of any power/weight ratio

Mark's not racing in thunderbikes any more.

The standard is mixed bit like DD to be honest, you would fit in ok mid packish on the right bike.
