Oil Change, recommendations

Hopefully this is my last question, sorry for so many by the way.

Does anybody have any recommendations of what oil I should use for my oil change? I was going to go with the Shell Advance as recommended but I thought I'd check to see if anyone thinks there is better?

Thanks

Questions are good !!! How would we learn otherwise.

However, homework time for you Sire....

Search for all posts containing the word 'oil' by user 'shazzam!'

I have been using Shell in my ST4 now for a couple of years with no problems.

More critical is when you start the bike, let it tick over for a few minutes before you give it any revs. The oil drains back down from the rocker feeds even if parked overnight and it takes a good 30 seconds till you have oil on some of the rockers. That is where most of the damage is done to teh rockers.

Finally change the oil if it shows signs of going black, rather than on sopecific milage.
