Wanted - intimate picture...

...of your l/h rearset with reverse shift.

I've just put a reverse pattern gear pedal on the 996, but I'm having some trouble with it. The position feels wrong and I can't seem to adjust it enough to make me a happy chap.

I'd like to see any pics of how others have got their angles set up - I know it's very user specific, but a starting point would be good!

Stick with it Nick, one of the best mods that can be done.

I don't doubt that Murray. The upshifts were so smooth that I wasn't even sure it had actually changed gear - it was a case of let the cluch out and hope it's in!

Getting used to it was dead easy too. Just jumped on the bike and rode off without giving any thought, as if it's what I'd been doing all my life. It's just the position of the pedal I'm finding uncomfortable - It's feels like I need the pedal lower, but i've already had to carve a piece out the fairing to get it as low as it is now. And more it gets rotated down, the more forward/backward motion there is (if that makes sense) and it's rubbing my tootsies

I don't have a pic Nick, but I used 'race' shift for the first time at Jerez (did I mention I went to Jerez?) and I have to say, I thought it would confuse the hell out of me, but I only got it wrong twice (in about 40 laps) and that was when I was getting tired towards the end of a string of 8-10 laps (it was hot too!!).

Anyway, I got to say, that I think it's a good mod to do.

Hope it works out for you dude

Hope this helps? Just nipped into the garage to get a quick pic but my cameras **** so sorry bout the quality. I have my rearsets on the lowest position (bolt wise) and set right back. I'm 6ft 4 so it just gives me a little more leg room. I'm size 12 footwise and this settings perfect for me. Spent a bit of time adjusting the lever position until I got it just right. Shift quality is loads better, only seem to have to think about which way to shift when I first set off and want first gear. I alternate between the 996r and the Multi (normal shift) and it doesnt seem to cause me any trouble.
