998s Mono`s

Just a bit of info for those of you with 2002 998s Monoposto Ducati`s. There were only 27 imported into the uk so there`s not that many about! Have fitted some Temi`s and cabon bits on mine as well as a JHP undertank filter system and it runs really well.

I assume that doesn't include the Bayliss/Bostrom Replicas which are based on the 998s model

998s Mono`s

your right the 27 total does not include the Bostrom replica`s. Mine has 50mm carbon termi`s and quite a lot of Ducati carbon plus rearsets, air tubes and JHp filter system, it goes like stink and handles sooooooo well after the jota (which I still have and love to bits as well. Just need to get a carbon top fairing and have it sprayed up wioth a spray on number board.

I HAVE NOTICED WITH SURPRISE THE 998S MODELS IN THE PHOTOS CLEARLY ARE FITTED WITH SHOWA, in australia the bostroms, baylisis, etc had ohlins front forks which annoyed me as the only differences I could see apart from the $18000.00 AUS was the paint and the side fairingsThe aussie 998s cost $34000.00 and the 996r was$52000.00!!! I thought aussie 998s had ohlins front forks as well I will now find and out let you know Breakout

Breakout

I believe that the Bostroms etc were all fitted with Ohlins unlike the the 998s Mono`s which only came with Showas, However, the FE (Final Edition) models were fitted with Ohlins as standard.

One other foot note, of the 27 imported into the Uk 20 were red and 7 only were yellow so there the ones to look out for!..................happy daze!

Correct, the Bostrom/Bayliss 998S models were fitted with Ohlins all round, technically that and the paintjob, stand, plaque in box and plaque on yokes were the only differences
