Advice please master clutch cylinder.

Hi all. Im changing my standard clutch master cylinder for an uprated Brembo. On my old one the choke is connected to the clutch on the clipon by a small pin. Do I just force it out to seperate the choke from the clutch master cylinder. Tried it before and it wont buj. Thought id ask the experts before i break something.
