Headlight \'throw\'

Noticed on my way home this evening after a quick blat over to a mates, that I can see my headlight reflecting off road signs way ahead of me (150yards?). Parked it up against a wall and checked the alighnment, and as you'd expect for a new bike, it seems to be spot on.

My question is, have you noticed that the headlight seems to appear to be aimed high, even if it isn't? Is it just particularly powerful and 'broad beamed'?

I could see a few drivers who were a bit freaked out when I was behind them, even though the main beam focus fell onto the number plate area of their car rather than directly onto the rear view mirror (still, made them look in it for a change).... before I go adjusting it downwards, is this just a 999/749 'thang'?

I noticed the same thing.

I have to admit, I like it though - this is the first bike I've had where everyone instanstly makes room for me (could be noise, could be headlight, could be the sheer beauty...).

If you stand in front of the bike with the light on, it is pretty blinding.

Don't worry, it'll be picked up on the MOT... in 2 years' time :-)

Yeah, this is the first ducati that i've owned that has lights that work!
I've not adjusted mine and don't intend to. At least the cars are aware of us & the chances are that we won't be behind them for very long!
