Thinking of breaking my 996

As I'm a bit tied for space, I need to sell a bike or two out of the Way,

So as well as looking at getting rid of the 750SSie and M750 in the near future I'm looking at breaking the 996 as I don't really need it with two 998s in the collection.
I've only ridden the 996 a handful of times this year and very little last year

My 996 is a bit too trick to get anywhere near the sum of what the parts are worth trying to sell it as a complete bike,

Especially when the engine came via the Police when my mates Breakers picked up a load of Bikes from the police Auctions quite a few years ago. So I'll probably end up splitting the engine.

Some parts I will keep for now such as the 54mm System, Slipper Clutch Penske Shock, Extended Swingarm, Tank and Fuel pump

But other items such as the T-reg Frame with V5, Alloy Subframe. Carbon Airbox, full 996BP Injection system with Harness, Headlight, Marchesini 5-Spokes, PFM 6-pots and narrow track discs will be getting sold

Going to have a look through Ebay and get some idea of prices and see about stripping it down once Xmas is out of the way

I know I've seen what you do to front wheels, 5-spokes aren't as cheap to replace even the Alloy ones

Though do pm a price if you are thinking of selling complete bike. Minus 5 spokes..... I have enough of them. Mike

I'm on the look out for a slipper clutch for the HM if it's going cheap...

You'll be lucky Ant, both my 1000SS and my Multistrada 1000 Engines are going to be getting Slipper Clutches and I also have one set aside for 007 and his 996.

Hopefully I'll be able to get the 998Hybrid out of the back room and into the garage, it's one bike I really enjoy riding and it needs to be more accessible' I haven't ridden it since I fitted the AP Discs and 6-pots

Decided to start by De-specing the bike for now, so earlier today I removed the 5-Spoke Marchesinis and the pfm brake system, replacing them with standard Ducati parts.
Now I just need to give them a clean and take some Photos
