748 Rebuild Help

Guys , this is my first post so I do apologise coming here first time cap in hand...

The bike is owned by the girl friend (I'm a GSXR Owner myself) , and about a month ago we had a nasty accident , which she is recovering nicely from... we need to know where the best place is to find 2nd hand Ducati bits..

We need the following

Side Fairing (Top and bottom ) Both Sides
Front Fairing
Head Light
Indicators x 2
Right hand side Mirror and glass

All in yellow

Anyone got any idea's where I can start looking... pictures of the bike are available... if that helps

thanks

Lee

Checkout the Market Place section of this website for items from board members.

You might be best putting up your own "wanted" advert listing all the bits you need, as it might prompt people to sell any spares they have.

You can also check http://www.ducatitrader.co.uk/ as they have a good listing of spares.

Finally you could try http://www.ebay.co.uk/ but the prices on there tend to be a lot higher than anywhere else ... although still cheaper than Ducati direct!

ebay is a good place to start!

I have been rebuilding mine and got some stuff off ebay.

Also worth calling various breakers or looking in the market place on here!

Good luck!

Lee,

Try these too. They're normally in the spares section of MCN.

Partsearch UK - 0906 111 9999

Part Finder UK - 0906 033 0330

Bear in mind they make their money from the amount of time you are on the phone so be prepared for them to repeat everything you say back to you four times to keep the call running on and on.

They do however, link into 200 breakers each and I have had calls back from breakers directly within a couple of hours if they have the bits I need.

Partsearch tends to be the best cos they actually keep a log of your name and don't go through all the personal info gathering at the start of the call if you use them again a few weeks or months later...thus saving you money on the call.

Calls charged at circa £1.50/min

Good luck and hope your girlfriend is okay.

Ps....I lurve your website mate....Quality stuff

There's a shop down in Los Angeles that carries a lot of new/used Duc parts. If you can't find what you need locally you can give him a call at 714-903-3822. Website: www.ducman.com I've done a lot of business with Johnny and he is a reliable source.
