You'll also need to find the matching brake pedal and live with a race pattern gear change!

Weren't Sandbar looking at making racing rearsets from the original moulds? I wonder if that included pedals?

Why would you need a race pattern gear change Rob? Surely a different length linkage would do the trick?

Mind you, I've been thinking about trying race pattern myself just to see if I like it

Phil

Pretty sure they won't fit the bikes with the early frame (the one with the plates to which the footrest assemby is attached, rather than lugs). As Jools said, not sure why you would have to go for a race-pattern change, but I agree you might have to experiment with linkages etc. I actually tried a race parrten shift for a while, but went back to normal eventually. It wasn't the pattern itself that was a problem - you soon get used to that, except when you have a lapse in concentration - I just didn't like it. It felt all wrong, especially when accelerating hard. Mind you, quite a few racers use it, so it's probably just me! I think I've still got a lever (actually from a 9xx) if anyone wants to try it.

Jools, The carbon hanger plates on the Corse, similar to pic, have no provision for a gear change lever. The race bikes had a lever directly attached to the splines on the gearbox, thus the reversed pattern.

Thanks for the advice gents. Looks like it could have been one of those '' good idea at the time '' mistakes which end up at the back of the shed and haunt you every time you look at them and remember how much they cost

They went off for $611.95.
I little bit to much for me, but I guess the new owner will be happy.

New ones cost a lot more
