Jeremy Clarkson did that speed camera test in a variety of cars on Top Gear... pretty funny stuff, despite Jeremy being a hypocritical S.O.B. I think the TVR did the trick at around 180mph - anyone know the exact speed?.
Anyway, at the lower end of the scale I use a 10% margin as my rule of thumb, e.g. 30mph + 10% = 33mph max.

I agree, if you can't do the time, dont do the crime --- but where's the fun in that?!

I think the police use the 10% +2 rule, and I think gatsos are set to same? UK Speed Traps has a whealth of info on various types of traps, accuracy, detectors etc.

Slightly off the original Termi subject, but carrying on with the old bill topic, went out yesterday for a quick jaunt around where I live (N.Wales), and passed a V70 on the side of the road. Noticed him giving me a glare, I carried on, shuffled my elbows to give me the one inch of rear view vision my mirrors allow me (999!), and saw him turning round.

So, I saved him the hassle and pulled over. Anyways, he nicked me for an "un-safe" number plate ! He said we cant see you if you go through speed cameras! Nice enough guy, and he also said that Richard Brunstrom (Chief Constable) was a tosser of the record, which I found most amusing.

But, when he pulled me, He asked if I knew what he had come after me for? Now, I had a dark visor, termi`s, small plate. Jesus I was scared to answer incase I pointed out something he had missed lol...

Just the plate, didnt mention the visor, or the termis........

But, he did say, put the big plate back on, and buy some of that spray stuff from the internet that hides the numbers from gatso`s !!

Good old North Wales bobbies !

Mold-Denbigh road mate, he was on the corner near the Denbigh Showground.

He wasnt on the lookout for excessive speed as such, just sat there.

Could have been worse I guess, could have been for the visor and the can, so £30 is a bargain

I'm concerned how loud they are as living in Nth Wales we get a lot of interest from the boys in blue.
Also who would be best to contact for a good deal?
Thanks
