Exclamation Any ideas on what this is???
just found it resting on the engine underneath airbox whilst cleaning the duke

I think it's a Dutch Cap. Didn't know they made them in black, though

something that shouldnt be there

lots of things turn up around there. C found a bolt from her steering damper there in january, which had gone missing last summer

Very funny you guys,but it still doesn't answer my question! Maybe this helps 672.1.030.1a is printed on the inside with ducati insignia underneath

Why not look for a hole about the same size as that bit of plastic - then you know what it is

Put it on e-bay as an authentic Ducati part from (model of your bike) and flog it. Problem solved. Ignorance is bliss. I should know, I'm the expert!
