I have the BMC filter and before an undertank crap. I haven't yet rolling road it, but the difference is unbelivable. It's so smooth and it accelerates faster now. (ducati 916)

Cipi, difference is the injectors on the 998 has a shower araangement so the under tank filter is not the best or easiest to fit.

I have used the opipercross ones in the 996, 748 and the 998 and never had a problem but then again never had em on a rolling road to test em.

This was the "K&N" type I fitted at the same time as I fitted a C/F air boc & C/F air tubes.

I found these were the best, and by far, the less restrictive.

RACE INDUCTION KIT FOR DUCATI 748 – 916 – 996 – 998

The BMC Race Induction Kit for DUCATI is an air filtration system that consists of two BMC air filters with relative support frames, gaskets and all the necessary parts required for installation.
The kit also includes a detailed illustrated step by step instruction leaflet of all the procedures for a correct installment.
The kit allows, thanks to the installation of BMC air filters in oiled cotton of high permeability, an increase in air quantity in the entrance of the engine thus guaranteeing an elevated efficiency of filtration.
BMC air filters are washable and reusable with the appropriate BMC washing kit, it is recommended a periodical maintenance.
